FAQs

  • The Tray of Blooms is designed to plant approximately 50 sq. ft. The sample garden layout included is for 4’ x 12’ = 48 sq ft’ and can be adjusted to fit your space.

  • Look for a sunny spot with 6-8 hours of direct sunlight, well-draining soil, and access to water. In the sample layout, taller plants are placed at the back (north side) with shorter ones at the front (south side). If you design your own, this ensures all your flowers get enough light.

For easy harvesting, plan for access from all sides, or add a simple path so you’re not reaching more than a couple feet into the garden.

  • If your garden is planted at the end of May you can expect the flowers to start at the end of July. Most varieties included will keep blooming until frost (especially if you keep cutting). Your growing guide will explain which flowers are ‘cut and come again’ and which produce one or two flushes of blooms.

  • Pick-up will be early/mid-May at the farm NW of Carman, or in SW Winnipeg, date and exact meet-up locations TBA via email. You can then reply with preferred date and location!

  • Every tray includes the varieties listed for your chosen colour palette. While we reserve the right to substitute a variety in the rare case of a crop failure, you don’t need to worry… the lisianthus (your favourite) and all the others are doing well and we don’t anticipate any problems.

  • Once the seedlings are in your hands, they are your responsibility. If you can’t plant them right away due to weather or other reasons, provide bright light and protection from both frost and overheating. Frost may kill seedlings and prolonged warmth with low lighting can cause stretching and weakening.

  • All trays are pre-ordered and of limited availability, so we cannot offer refunds for changes of mind. Every tray is supplied with healthy, carefully grown plants, ready for your garden. In the rare event of major crop failure where we are unable to deliver what was promised, we will refund your purchase price. Once the seedlings are delivered, they are your responsibility and refunds are not available.

  • The Tray of Blooms was carefully designed to provide you with a season of gorgeous bouquets. We cannot substitute varieties. However, if you want to design your own garden and bouquets, see the Seedling List in the next section for what’s available to purchase individually.

***Once seedlings are in your hands, they are your responsibility. Some varieties may need to be hardened off, as you would any other greenhouse plant. If you are unable to plant them right away due to weather or other reason, provide bright light and protection from both frost and overheating. In the rare instance of major crop failure, if we are unable to provide what you purchased, we will refund your purchase price.
